A description of the services being rolled out nationally is provided on the traveline website.
The name "Instant information" is used on some estate agents for-sale signs along with "text XXXXX to XXXX". This is a situation which is very similar to Traveline information at bus stops.
The following regions describe the service they provide in more detail and use a variety of logos:

Use the SMS system from your computer to access 84268 using an sms simulator
You can also check the composition of the enquiry from Bus Inspector. Tick the "Lookup departure boards" check box on the right to see the full results returned from each timetabled and real time server that provides information about that stop. This service not only accepts SMS Numbers, but also ATCO Codes.
SMS numbers have three letter prefixes. These are the sms prefix codes that have been allocated. Scotland uses the numeric equivalent of these prefix codes.
Kizoom notes are available on "Adding a real time system to the Traveline SMS service".
Generate a list of SMS codes for your area. Enter the 3 number Area ATCO/PATS code then download lists of numbers which are unallocated. You can reserve the numbers. Once numbers appear in the officially submitted NaPTAN data these appear in the Allocated lists.
