The information will not favour one operator or another. The costs of providing traveline are met by the transport operators, large and small, and the local authorities so regular checks are carried out to ensure that the information provided is impartial, and the best available to match what you ask for.
On the telephone you can phone the usual number and you will either hear a menu for different parts of the country or the agent you speak to will put you through to the relevant region if they do not have all the information themselves.
Because timetables are liable to change, traveline will only let you look so far ahead. If the dates you require are not available you can still get an idea of the travel options that will be available by chosing an earlier date for the same day of the week. You will then be able to replan your journey nearer the time.
Traveline will follow you as you travel around the UK. www.traveline.org.uk or 0870 608 2 608 will be there to give you the local information.
traveline has a Disability Discrimination Act policy and wants to remove barriers to getting public transport information. Where it is reasonable to do so it aims to include relevant information about the suitability of public transport facilities for people with differing levels of ability. Please give feedback on how these issues affect you by contacting your traveline regional manager.
This also works for trains and at the station some electronic screens may only list the departure time and the ultimate destination of the train. So if you know where the train is going you will find the right platform more easily .... leaving plenty of time to do your deep breathing exercises.
